Esteban Cortazar's new collection, using neutral colours and simple, structured designs that are inspired by Cortazar's love of the female form and the desire to enhance and display this beautiful form through fashion, was released on Net-a-Porter on the 14th of September. The 28-year-old, Columbia born, Florida raised, Paris-living designer is the youngest designer to have ever shown at Miami International Fashion Week as he began in the industry aged just 13 after showing some of his sketches to the American designer Tom Oldham, who became his mentor. You may have heard of him as he worked for 2 years as head designer at Emanuel Ungaro (until he was fired because he refused to work with Lindsay Lohan!), he appeared in an episode of Bravo's Top Chef and, of course, he has been making his own wonderful contributions to fashion for many years now.
Of his new collection, I think I love the gold cuff heels and the eternal, summery vibe the most, and it is fast propelling him to status as "the young designer of the moment".
